The deposit is 900 euro per room. The deposit is paid upfront.
The minimum contract period at Rooms for Rent is 12 months.
It’s required that you register at the municipality. Your details and the address (address of the room) are registered in the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP). Never rent a place where registration is not possible.
The municipality sends out the municipal tax bill (woonlastennota) each year in February. It states which taxes you have to pay if you are the owner or user of a residential property. The taxes include are property taxes, waste tax and sewage charge.

Rooms for rent will ask for an upfront payment of the municipal tax.
This includes the levy for waste water treatment and the water system levy.
